Crispy Breaded Bean Curd with Gravy

 

 
 
This crispy breaded bean curd is perfect for crowd-pleasing! Dip it with gravy and you've got a perfect vegan treat. Awe your family and friends with this delicious breaded bean curd. 
 
Ingredients:
 
1 pack of bean curd
1/4 cup chickpea flour (rice flour is an option)
1 tsp ground pepper
 
For breaded bean curd
 
1.Soak the bean curd in water for about ten minutes or until soft.
2. Squeeze excess water, then cut into half. Set aside.  
3. Season the bean curd with mushroom powder.
4. Make a chickpea flour paste with cold water by mixing 1/4 cup with 2 tbsp water. Adjust accordingly.
5. Now coat the bean curd with chickpea flour paste.
6. Deep fry.

For the gravy, you will need
 
2 cups water
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 vegan bouillon cube
1 tsp ground pepper

Follow the instruction below and have a yummy vegan gravy!

  • Put all ingredients into a pot. Whisk very well until flour is dissolved.
  • Heat on medium heat.
  • Simmer for around three minutes, mixing occasionally.
